Technical Sales Manager Central Eastern Europe


MATRIX VISION - subsidiary of Balluff GmbH - is a leading manufacturer of high-tech products and customized solutions for industrial image processing. The focus is on marketing high-quality digital and intelligent cameras for various industries such as automotive, mechanical engineering and medical technology.

We are looking for a technical salesman, ideally living in the tri-border region PL/CZ/SK. Responsible for selling of industrial cameras for machine vision, mainly in the sector of intelligent traffic solutions, life science, medicine and machine automation. Balluff has an own subsidiary in Wroclaw, Prague and Bratislava, one of them will be the officially office and employer. Working from home office is possible, 2/3 of the working time will be traveling and meeting with customers in Poland, Czech Rep. Slovak. Rep, Hungary, etc. Reporting will be to the Head of Sales Europe, at MATRIX VISION in Oppenweiler, Germany.

The Position:

Is key for the further growth and business development in Poland, Czech Rep. Slovak. Rep, Hungary as well some Eastern European countries around, e.g. Lithuania.Manages the customer relations with accounts in these countries, with the objective to expand existing accounts further and to use them as reference for winning additional accounts and key accountsAnalyses the market further and defines and implements strategies to systematically develop the marketHas the main objective to get “designed/in” to products or machines of manufacturers in the target market segments of the company (usually for the life time of the products or machines)Is supported by several product managers and application experts in Germany to develop tailored customer solutions as well as by pre and after sales support engineersOffers the entrepreneurial chance to develop a leading business further and to be an important player in the growing business of industrial image processing

The Main Tasks:

  • Secure and expand the existing accounts in these countries.
  • Develop and implement strategies and yearly business plan to systematically develop new business (with focus on key accounts) by providing standard or customer specific solutions.
  • Develop sales by offering technical advice to system integrators and machine builders and by offering superior solutions to their needs.
  • Assure correct, effective and customer-oriented execution of sales.
  • Serve as link between key accounts and the company head office in Germany, as well as the Balluff subsidiaries.
  • Participate at fairs, industry events and similar.
  • Provide market and application feedback to the Head Office.

Your Profile:

  • Engineering degree in electronics, physics or similar, alternatively business education/ MBA welcome or equivalent successful business experience.
  • Fluent in English and Polish. (Czech and/or other languages are welcome).
  • At ease with travel (50-60%).
  • Minimum of two years sales experience.
  • Minimum of two years vision / camera experience.
  • International experience, ideally with a German company.
